In this article, you’ll find 20 adorable koala coloring pages, all of which are 100% free to download and print. My family and I were lucky enough to visit Australia, and we fell in love with the country and its wildlife right away! When we visited the Australian Zoo, we even had the opportunity to get very close to some koalas.
For this series, I illustrated so many koalas in various poses, such as cute Kawaii koalas, simple koalas for kids to draw, detailed koalas, koalas munching on eucalyptus leaves or resting in a tree, and many more!
If you want to color these pages, I suggest using a gray coloring pencil or marker for the koala’s body and light green for the gum leaves that they consume. A mix of light and dark brown would look good on the tree stems and branches. You could also get some leaves from outside and glue them to the page to make it stand out even more.
You can download one of these free printables by clicking the image or link below. A new window will pop up with the high-quality PDF file. Then, download or print as many copies as you need!
All of these PDF coloring pages are in regular US letter format, but they also precisely fit on A4 paper! Have fun!
10 Crafty Ideas to Do with Koala Coloring Pages
When you want to ensure your child’s koala coloring pages are not wasted, you can check out these fantastic craft activities.
1. Koala Centerpiece
To make this craft, gather a little jar in the child’s favorite color, a long popsicle stick, or a tough piece of cardboard.
Cut out the koala and seal it with shiny laminate paper when you’re done coloring.
After that, put the koala in the vase and attach the koala to the craft stick. You can make a cute decoration by putting fake flowers, leaves, or grass around it.
2. Make a Funny Finger Puppet
This craft is so simple that kids of all ages can do it! If you want to color the koala, you should carefully cut it out, leaving a few inches of room at the bottom.
In the next step, use the excess paper at the bottom to cut two tiny holes that are slightly larger than a child’s fingers.
With a little practice, kids can make their koala bears walk, jump, or dance by sliding their fingers through the holes.
3. Let the Koala Have Its Tree
Color and cut out the koala bear shape for this craft; just make sure to leave extra paper for the animal’s limbs and legs when you cut them out.
Adorn the empty roll of paper towels’ cardboard to make it look like a tree branch.
You can make it look like the bear is climbing a tree or hanging upside down by taping the koala’s arms and legs around the cardboard.
4. Koala Bear Planters
If you have plants in pots, you can put your child’s finished coloring page there.
Once the page is colored, cover it with laminated paper, and then glue it around the outside of a plant pot that is the right size.
Once you’ve finished the koala coloring page, you can use it to make little seed packets for the following season.
5. Write a Story About a Koala
You can do this project by yourself or with a group of kids. You can use several finished coloring pages that show koala bears in various situations.
If you want to include a tale that your child has written by hand or a story that was created by a group of youngsters with everyone contributing, you should provide blank pages in between the coloring pages.
You should have the child or children sign their names on their pages, and then you should use a hole punch and paper fasteners to attach the sheet.
6. An Enjoyable Activity for the Classroom
No matter how many kids are taking part, get a bunch of big poster boards and have each kid draw and cut out their koala bear.
Adhere them to the poster board with tape or glue, leaving lots of room between them.
For each kid, make an index card with a koala bear fact and have them write it down next to the one they colored.
Awesome project idea that is fun and teaches at the same time!
7. Make a Koala Crown
You can use koala bear coloring pages to make lady crowns or crowns for boys.
You should download a template for a crown or a fancy tiara, and then color one or more pages of the template, depending on the amount of paper that is required.
Color the page, then cut it out to the right size and place the koala in the middle.
If the children want to have even more fun, they can make the bear pink, brilliant blue, or orange instead of the “normal” hue for a koala.
8. A Fun Activity for the Classroom
Have fun while you learn letters. After the kids color their koala bears, have them cut them out.
Every kid should use a piece of poster board to cut out a big “K” shape and then tape or glue the koala to the middle of it.
After that, using the space on the “K” cutout, have the kids write down all the words they can think of that begin with that letter.
9. Give Life to The Koala Bear
Any kid can do this fun project, which makes this cute bear look real.
For this craft, you’ll need felt, wiggle eyes, and cotton. Leaf shapes made from the green felt can be used to make the koala bear’s home.
A small coloring page can be used to make a baby koala, complete with wiggle eyes and tufts of cotton to give its face some bulk.
Be sure to leave some extra paper and cut a hole in the coloring page so that you can connect the “baby” to it.
10. Make a Cute Book Cover
A koala coloring page is a great way to cover a book that your child wishes to have.
The first step is to use a plain brown supermarket bag to make the book cover. Attach the page with laminated paper after the child is drawn the koala bear.
Attach the coloring page to the brown paper using a glue gun or glue stick, and you have a charming book cover.
