10 Crafty Ideas to do with Jack-o’-Lantern Coloring Pages

Kids can have fun drawing Jack-o’-Lanterns at any time, not just on Halloween.

These 10 crafts are great ways for kids to keep their finished pages safe if they have a lot of them.

1. Wall fan with a Jack-o’-Lantern

This enjoyable craft requires the use of two coloring pages that are identical to one another, and the Jack-o’-Lantern should be colored while the pages are still in their original state.

Fold each page in half vertically, like an accordion, and then spread it out.

The bottoms should then be taped together tightly to make a bowtie form.

This fancy double fan looks great as fall wall art when it’s stuck to a green piece of poster board.

2. Jack-o’-Lantern Paper Garland

Get some Jack-o’-Lantern coloring pages printed out and happily color them.

Be careful when cutting out each pumpkin, and leave a little extra around the sides to make them stronger.

When you’re ready, make a small hole in the top of each Jack-o-Lantern and string them on a long piece of ribbon or yarn.

A simple way to add some Halloween spirit to any room is to hang your wreath over a mantel, window, or doorway.

3. Make Lanterns to Hang

This game is fun, simple, and great for kids of all ages.

When the kids are drawing, they should carefully cut long, vertical slits across the page to make it look like a paper lantern.

While it is not the intention to shred the page, it is recommended that a border of one inch be left at both the top and bottom of the page. After that, the pages should be glued together and folded into a cylinder form.

Make some hanging lanterns out of green construction paper by cutting out “handles” and taping them to the top. Then, use them as classroom decorations!

4. Create Pumpkin Masks

Kids of all ages love this game because it’s fun, quick, and easy.

When students are done painting their Jack-o’-Lantern coloring pages, they can glue them to a strong piece of construction paper or light cardboard to make the masks stronger. As they carefully cut out the outline of the pumpkin with scissors, they should be sure to allow room for eye holes.

An elastic string can be attached to the sides of the masks to facilitate hands-free wear, or a popsicle stick can be affixed to the bottom to serve as a handle.

When you’re done, these happy or scary pumpkin masks are great for a Halloween photo shoot or a small parade.

5. Unique Jack o Lantern Mugs

It’s very simple and fun to make a Jack-o’-Lantern mug.

Let your child use craft paint to turn a jar or mug with a handle orange.

When the Jack-o’-Lantern is colored and cut out, it should be stuck to the mug with glue that can’t be seen.

You can decorate the mug’s top with packing ribbons and add a green pipe cleaner to make it look like a straw. You can put this cute mug anywhere.

6. Jack-o’-Lantern Pencil Holder

Give each child a clean tin can or a strong cardboard tube to start. Give them a Jack-o’-Lantern coloring page and have them wrap it around it, smoothing it out with tape or glue.

Allow them to cut out a second pumpkin face from an additional paper, and then glue it on the front of the page to create a fascinating layered appearance.

To finish, make a curly plant out of a green pipe cleaner and attach it close to the top edge.

After it dries, they’ll have a cute Jack-o’-Lantern pencil holder that’s great for keeping school tools like crayons and markers in order.

7. The Jack o Lantern Treasure

Hand out empty soup cans to the kids and have them laminate them along with their Jack-o’-Lantern coloring pages for a quick and easy craft.

Next, give them another page to color, have them stick it to a small piece of cardboard, and then cut it out.

Stick a green pipe cleaner in the middle of the circle hole and bend it up in a spiral shape to make it look like a stem.

This will serve as the “lid” of the Jack-o’-Lantern can, and your child will have a place to put their hidden goodies

8. Spooky Ghost Lanterns

It’s easy and fun for kids to make ghost lanterns.

Give your kid an empty plastic or Mason jar and tell them to use a little glue to cover it with white tissue paper. Draw or cut out funny or scary ghost faces on black paper and stick them on once it’s all wrapped up.

Put a tea light that runs on batteries inside the lantern and watch it glow with a friendly spooky vibe. Putting a bow around the top can make it look even more holiday-like. You can put these cute lanterns on window sills or use them as a display for a Halloween party.

9. Give Mom or Dad a Good Present

For a fun gift for Mom or Dad, give each kid a paper plate and some orange and green construction paper.

After the kids color and glue the Jack-o’-Lanterns to the back of the paper plates, they can use orange construction paper pieces to decorate the edges.

After making a shape of their hands out of green construction paper, the kids should glue one to the top of the Jack o Lantern to make its “stem.”

Putting names on the art makes it a great gift for mom or dad.

10. Jack-o’-Lantern Treat Holder

For this easy project, give each kid a small plastic or paper cup. Let them use glue or tape to hold their Jack-o’-Lantern coloring page around it.

Then give them orange and black craft paper that they can use to make extra pumpkin faces, bats, or stars that they can glue on to make the room look nicer.

Lastly, make a little handle by poking two small holes near the cup’s edge and threading a ribbon or knitting needle through them.

Now they’ve made their own Jack-o’-Lantern treat holder, which is great for taking candy or other small treats.
