11 Crafty Ideas To Do With Giraffe Coloring Pages

Looking for engaging activities to spark your child’s creativity? Dive into the world of giraffe-themed crafts! These eleven delightful projects are not only enjoyable but also educational, allowing children to learn about giraffes while exploring their artistic talents.

From paper plate masks to colorful suncatchers, each craft offers a unique way to create and play. Whether you’re crafting at home or in a classroom setting, these activities promise hours of imaginative fun. Let’s explore how to turn simple materials into adorable giraffe creations that will inspire laughter and learning.

1. Have Fun with Counting

Giving your kids giraffe coloring pages can help them learn to count.

All of the children should color many giraffes and then cut them out of giant flashcards that have been cut out of white poster board.

After you have pasted a varied number of giraffes onto each card, you should then hold the card up and ask the children to count how many giraffes they see.

You can print the correct number on the back of the card to serve as a reference for the kids.

2. Paper Plate Giraffe Masks

Let’s start with making giraffe masks out of paper plates.

You’ll need paper plates, yellow and brown paper, markers, glue, and scissors. First, cut a giraffe face shape from the paper plate.

Then, cut out brown paper ears and yellow paper horns. Stick them on with glue. Use markers to draw eyes, nostrils, and spots. You can make these masks with different looks and use them to pretend to be giraffes!

3. Giraffe Coloring Page in a Frame

Putting a finished giraffe coloring page in a frame is a wonderful way to arrange a child’s room, especially if it has an animal theme.

After coloring, leave the page alone and place it in a frame that complements the bedroom’s design.

Before placing the coloring page in the frame and hanging it, your child can paint the frame and even sign it.

4. Handprint Giraffe Art

Handprint giraffe art is a special craft that shows off your child’s handprints. Paint your child’s hand yellow and press it carefully onto paper.

When it dries, use brown paint or markers to add the giraffe’s head, neck, and legs. Using markers or stickers, your child can decorate their giraffe with spots and a face. This craft creates a cute giraffe picture and keepsake to remember.

5. Make a Giraffe That Stands Up

To make this adorable craft, you’ll need half of a used paper towel roll and some brown and yellow pom-poms.

To make the giraffe easier to color and cut out, join the head and neck into one piece and cut out the legs separately.

Add pipe cleaners to the legs to make them stronger, and use brown pom-poms for the feet. After that, you should glue these different pieces to the giraffe’s “body.”

A brown pipe cleaner works great as a tail, so you now have a cute giraffe that can stand up straight.

6. Giraffe Paper Bag Puppets

For some fun storytelling, make giraffe puppets out of paper bags! You’ll need a brown paper bag, yellow paper, markers, googly eyes, and glue.

Cover the bag with yellow paper and stick on spots with a giraffe face. Use markers for the mouth, nostrils, and ears. Your child can put their hand inside the bag to make the giraffe puppet move and talk. It’s perfect for staging puppet shows!

7. Make a Zoo Animal Banner

A picture banner is a lovely addition to the classroom and an excellent method to teach children about giraffes.

Ask each child to color a giraffe page, then leave it alone to create this banner.

Make sure to insert blank pages in between each giraffe so that the children can write down information about these funny creatures.

Then, you can combine them to create a fantastic classroom banner.

8. Toilet Paper Roll Giraffe

This eco-friendly craft transforms empty toilet paper rolls into adorable giraffes.

Paint the roll yellow and let it dry. Cut out ears, horns, and spots from brown paper and glue them on. Use markers for the eyes and the mouth.

This simple craft teaches about recycling and lets kids create their own little giraffe toy.

9. Storybook with a Giraffe Theme

Making a tale with a giraffe theme is easy; all you need are coloring pages and 8 to 10 blank pages for each child.

Once the kids have colored three or four giraffes apiece, you may staple them together with the blank papers in between.

On the blank pages, every child has the opportunity to create a tale about a giraffe, and those children who are not timid can read their stories to the class.

After that, you can take the storybooks home to keep.

10. Create an Animal-Related Scrapbook

A zoo-themed scrapbook is perfect because every kid loves going to the zoo.

You can use giraffe coloring pages for both the title page and the back cover.

After that, we add blank pages in between to allow people to draw pictures of other zoo animals.

Aside from that, they can add zoo mementos or write down memories of those trips.

11. Giraffe Suncatcher Craft

Brighten up your windows with giraffe suncatchers!

You’ll need clear contact paper, yellow and brown tissue paper, scissors, and a marker. Cut out a giraffe shape from the contact paper and peel off the backing. Tear or cut yellow and brown tissue paper to fill in the giraffe shape, making it look like stained glass. To seal it, cover it with another sheet of contact paper.

Use a marker to outline the giraffe’s features. Hang it in a sunny window and enjoy the colorful glow!

These eleven giraffe crafts are not only fun but also educational. They assist children with fine motor skills, creativity, and hands-on learning about giraffes. Whether they’re making masks, puppets, or suncatchers, these crafts will bring smiles and creative exploration to your home.
