10 Crafty Ideas to do with Ghost Coloring Pages

A lot of kids like to color ghosts because they are so much fun.

Here are 10 easy, fun, and creative crafts you can make with a coloring page that you’ve already colored.

1. A Pretty Scary Decoration

A Styrofoam cup, a thread, and a button are all you need to start this simple project. After coloring and cutting out the ghost, pop it onto an inverted styrofoam cup and glue it in place.

After that, hang a lot of white ribbons from the cup’s sides.

Make a small hole in the top of the “ghost,” run the thread through it, and tie it to a button on the other side to keep it in place. Now you can hang it up as a cute and creepy decoration.

2. Floating Ghost Mobile

To make ghost shapes, have kids draw and cut out some pages for Halloween.

Then, to make the base of the mobile, take a paper plate and cut out the middle, leaving only the rim.

Attach a piece of yarn or string to the top of each ghost, then secure the other end to the rim of the plate so the ghosts dangle below.

Add scary drawings, stickers, or even little paper bats to the edge, and then hang the whole thing from the ceiling. It’s so creepy that the ghosts will move with every breeze.

3. Help a Ghost Out

All kids like to trace things, so have them start this project by drawing and cutting out one of their hands on a white piece of paper.

After coloring their ghosts and cutting them out of the page, they should stick the ghost pieces to the palm, with the fingers at the bottom.

This makes it look like a ghostly, flowing shape. This cutout is now ready to be put on a black construction paper base to make some scary wall art.

4. Ghost Popsicle Stick Puppet

First, color and cut out a ghost from one of your Ghost coloring pages.

Attach the ghost to a big craft stick with glue to make a fun doll.

Kids can add plastic eyes, cotton balls to make it fluffy, or even glitter to make it glow like a ghost.

After it’s done, they can play make-believe with their ghost puppet, put on short puppet shows, or use it as a scary bookmark for their favorite Halloween book!

5. Ghost Battle

Let the kids draw a ghost face. If they want to make it scarier, they can add puffy paint or craft eyes.

After that, have them cut out the face and stick it to the back of a white paper plate.

On white construction paper, the kids can draw arms with two or three ghostly fingers.

You can cut these out and stick them on the back of the paper plate so it looks like the ghost is raising his arms to scare someone.

6. Glow-in-the-Dark Ghost Lantern

First, color a ghost on one of your Ghost coloring pages and carefully cut it out.

Glue white tissue paper around a clean, empty mason jar or plastic container to make it look like a frosty ghost.

Stick the ghost cutout to the front of the jar with glue. Then, draw or use plastic eyes to make the face look scary.

Perfect for a bedside or Halloween party table, this ghost will glow in the dark when you place a battery-powered tealight inside!

7. The Ghost Spiral

For this funny project, take a regular paper plate and cut it in a circle from the outside to the inside to make a spiral. You now have a “ghost body” that moves.

The ghosts should be stuck to the back of another paper plate after the kids have colored them and cut them out.

Attaching the spiral to the reverse side of this plate transforms it into a slinky ghost that may be hung up for a good chuckle!

8. Ghost Paper Bag Surprise

First, give the kids Ghost coloring pages and have them color and cut out their favorite ghost from the finished coloring pages.

Fill a small white paper bag with newspaper or tissue paper just enough to give it shape.

After sticking the ghost shape to the front of the bag with glue, make arms out of white construction paper and fold them out from the sides.

Kids can draw scary or funny faces on it, and then you can tie the top with string or ribbon. It’s a fun Halloween decoration, or you can put a surprise inside it for a treat bag.

9. Chains of the Dead

This craft is great for school. Since ghosts are sometimes shown rattling chains to frighten people in folklore, the students collaborate to create a lengthy paper chain.

Halloween is an appropriate opportunity to employ black and orange as a pattern.

After students color and cut out their ghosts, they can make a great classroom decoration by attaching them to a paper chain using tiny dots of crazy glue.

10. Hanging Tissue Ghost Garland

Kids should color and cut out a few little ghost faces from their finished coloring pages.

Next, take white napkins or tissues and gently roll up one in the middle of each to make the head of the ghost. Tie it off with string or ribbon.

For a fun, unique look, glue or tape the colored ghost faces on top of the heads.

You can hang them from windows, walls, or classroom doors, or string them all together to make a floating ghost wreath.
