10 Crafty Ideas To Do With Bear Coloring Pages
Coloring pages are enjoyable for both kids and adults. Bears are a popular choice because they can look cute, cuddly, or even fierce. When you finish coloring a bear page, don’t just put it away. Here are 11 fun craft ideas to make your bear coloring pages even more special.
1. Bear-Themed Greeting Cards
Turn your coloring pages into special greeting cards. Cut out the bear and glue it to a folded piece of bright paper. Add stickers and glitter, or draw fun designs around it.
Write a sweet message inside to make a lovely card for birthdays or holidays. I once made a bear card for my friend’s birthday, and she loved it because it was homemade and full of love.
2. Create a Hat That Serves as a Mask
Giving each child a plain party hat to design with bear face pieces from one or more finished pages is a fun way to start this creative project.
As you add them, make sure that the bear’s nose is at the top of the hat.
You could use wiggle eyes and a big brown pom-pom for a nose, or you could use candy corn for teeth that are funny or scary.
Pushing the bear down over the child’s face transforms it into a three-dimensional mask! The bear can be used as a cap.
3. Bear Puppet Show
Put on a fun puppet show with bear characters! First, cut out colorful bear shapes and attach them to craft sticks or straws. Next, make a simple puppet stage using a cardboard box by cutting out a big window.
Decorate the box to look like a forest, if you like. Invite your family or friends to join in the fun. I did this with my younger siblings, and we spent the whole afternoon laughing and playing together.
4. Teaching Shapes with Adorable Bears
For this project, coloring pages of funny or silly bears work best. Get the child to cut out three bears from different finished pages and glue them to a posterboard base.
Using construction paper in bright colors, cut three shapes at random, like a square, a diamond, and a circle.
Place one shape on each bear’s stomach, and draw a text bubble next to the face.
As if the bears were discovering their shapes for the very first time, write the word that corresponds to the shape inside!
5. Bear-Themed Wall Art
With your bear coloring pages, create some beautiful wall art. First, cut out your colored bear and glue it onto a big piece of paper. Then, surround it with trees, flowers, and other wild animals. You can frame your artwork or just tape it on the wall.
This is a fun way to show off your coloring skills and make your room look great. It has become my favorite aspect of my bedroom ever since I hung a multitude of forest animals on the wall.
6. Enjoyment of Polar Bears
Pick a bear with a big, round face for this craft, and have the child draw a snowy scene on a blue posterboard.
Add homemade snowflakes, glitter, or craft gems to the background to make it look nice.
To create the look of a three-dimensional face on the bear, use cotton balls, and then add a large black pom-pom nose to the bear’s face.
To complete the design, incorporate large wiggle eyes and small cupcake wrappers for ears. The snowy background creates a unique piece of art that is suitable for framing.
7. Bear Storybook
Turn your beautiful coloring pages into a homemade storybook. Each colored bear can be a character in your story. Glue the bears onto blank pages, then write a few sentences to tell a tale. Add backgrounds and other drawings to make your story come alive.
When I was little, I wrote a book about a bear who went on adventures in the forest. It’s still a cherished memory and a keepsake.
8. A funny Christmas bear card
Help the child draw and cut out a cute or funny bear. Then, glue it to one side of a piece of cardstock to make a funny greeting card.
Cut the paper in half to make a cover. Have the kid write a holiday message on the front. Next, incorporate playful elements into the bear to create a humorous surprise upon opening the card.
Make this by winding two pipe cleaners around each other in a spiral shape, ending with full rounds at each end.
Put googly eyes on the rounds, and then staple the other ends to the bear’s eyes so that they “pop” when the card is opened!
9. Make a country-style trinket
This simple craft necessitates cutting out bears from the finished pages. If you want, add craft supplies to them to make them look better.
Give each child a regular Styrofoam cup, cut out the shape, and seal it. Use large brown pom-poms as the cup’s feet, and a pipe cleaner as its “handle.”
Place this endearing creature on a window sill, coffee table, kitchen counter, or countertop, brimming with candies, nuts, or other delectables!
10. Bear for Valentine’s Day
To start this simple project, put a layer of red glitter on top of a piece of bathroom tissue cardboard and then cover it with brown construction paper.
Cut out the bear, making sure to keep the head separate from the body. Then, glue the head to the top of the roll. Fold the paws across the front of the body and wrap them around the rest of the roll.
Then, use craft paper to cut two pink hearts, one big and one small. Use the smaller one as the bear’s nose, and the larger one to look like he’s holding it.
Use wiggle eyes and pom-pom feet to finish off this cute Valentine’s Day craft.
11. Bear-Themed Party Decorations
To make fun party decorations, use bear coloring pages. Create bear banners by cutting out the colored bears and stringing them together with a ribbon. You can also make bear masks by cutting out the faces, attaching them to paper plates, and adding elastic bands to fit around your head.
These decorations bring a personal touch to any celebration. For my last birthday, I made a bear-themed banner, and it was a big hit with everyone.
