10 Crafty Ideas To Do With Balloon Coloring Pages

Here are 10 easy, fun, and creative crafts you can make with a coloring page that you’ve already colored.

1. Tiles and Mosaics

With the help of my balloon coloring pages, you may have your children or pupils create stunning mosaics.

Instruct them to fill in the lines with scraps of construction paper; the pieces should be smaller for children of a more advanced age.

You can encourage children to make patterns or pictures with bits of paper, which will allow their creativity to display itself.

2. Floating Balloon Ceiling Decorations

Make it look like balloons are floating without using real gas. After coloring, cut out your balloon pictures and put thin white thread or clear fishing line on the back of each one. Stick the other end of the string to the ceiling with tape so the paper balloons hang down at different heights.

If this is for a party, you can add real balloons or stickers that glow in the dark to make it stand out even more. If you’re looking for a quirky way to decorate, this is a fantastic substitute for actual helium balloons.

3. Expression Drawings

Kids can’t always express how they feel verbally, but they can draw or do something else artsy to show how they feel.

By asking children to draw on or just color in the balloons, you may encourage them to do exactly this with my pictures of balloons.

Let their colors or pictures do the talking when they use art to show who they are.

4. Balloon-Themed Wrapping Paper

Create personalized wrapping paper for gifts by utilizing the balloon coloring pages you have created. After coloring, select a large sheet of blank kraft paper or white butcher paper and arrange many balloon illustrations on it. To wrap presents, you can use the paper that has been taped onto a flat surface.

To make it look better, add a ribbon or twine and a handmade balloon gift tag that matches. This is a creative and eco-friendly way to wrap gifts for birthdays, graduations, or any other happy event.

5. Cards for Birthdays

Of course, my illustrations of balloons would look great on party cards.

Simply print it out on half or quarter pages (folding as needed), write “Happy Birthday” on the front, and insert a heartfelt greeting on the inside.

This is helpful when you forgot your mother-in-law’s birthday (plus points if her grandchildren color it in!) or your kid throws a birthday party for another kid without telling you.

6. Balloons with Different Textures

Filling in with different textures looks great on my balloon illustrations.

That could be anything from candy to feathers to pom poms to shiny sticks. The options are endless.

If you want to “frame” the drawing, you could put it on construction paper and hang it somewhere noticeable in your home.

7. Pop-Up Balloon Greeting Cards

Make creative 3D cards that pop up with balloon illustrations on them. To begin, draw and cut out several balloons. Fold a piece of paper in half and cut small holes along the folds for the balloons to “pop up.” Use glue or small, folded pieces of paper to attach the balloons so they stand up when the card is opened.

You could write something happy like “Sending You a Lift of Happiness!” or “Up, Up, and Away to a Wonderful Birthday!” Whether it’s a birthday, congrats, or “just because” occasion, these handmade cards are ideal.

8. B Letter Is For Balloon Posters

You might want to consider having students who are learning their ABCs do this B is for Balloon poster craft.

The kids should color in the balloons on the picture they choose, then cut them out.

Then, get out some poster board or construction paper; have them write “B Is For Balloon” (or you can, depending on their age) on the page.

After that, they can stick the balloons on in any way they choose.

9. Balloon Stick Puppets

To entertain children, use your colored pages to make puppets with a balloon theme. After you’ve colored and cut out the balloons, use strong glue or tape to connect each one to a wooden craft stick or straw. Each balloon can also have a face or an emotion drawn on it to make it more fun to play with.

These puppets can be used to tell stories, play make-believe, or even make a puppet show about a trip in a balloon. Making this project is a great way to get kids to be creative and use their imaginations.

10. Hot Air Balloons

For one of my balloon drawings to become a hot air balloon, you’ll need to cut out one that has a slightly tapered bottom and cut it off about half an inch below the bottom.

Instruct your child to color it in whatever they see fit, and then have them paste it onto a piece of construction paper.

After that, starting at the base of the balloon, draw a basket (which your child can color in as well) and straight lines.
